The whole purpose behind the Kaity's Cichlids channel is to provide something fun, informative, and helpful for others to enjoy and be apart of. I love colour and uniqueness and I wanted to incorporate these aspects into the designs because I wanted them to be something I'd enjoy wearing too.
I have a Parrotlet named Laila who is super sassy, but I love that about her. Same with my Fuelleborni Mbuna, Bart - he is a type of Mbuna that looks different to other fish because they have trunk mouths for scraping algae off high current areas. But I think that is what makes both of them super cute!
I really wanted to make Laila and Bart apart of some of the merch, and thankfully I have a cousin who works in Visual Design who was able to help me create what I had in mind.
African Cichlids
I keep Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyikan African Cichlids. I love these fish because they are colourful and full of personality!
The other designs are based off cichlids, but we made these ones more generic. I just wanted the point of them to be about the fish and the colour more than anything.
I also chose the colours that I believed looked the most visually appealing with the designs and matched the channel.
